Join us for a morning run during Canmore Pride that's open to everyone (2SLGBTQIA+ people and allies). We will have two routes (two separate groups) to choose from—a 4km walk/light run and a 7km mid-paced run. Led by SkiUphill RunUphill ambassadors (a 2SLGBTQIA+ owned business in the Bow Valley), this event is a chance to come together as a community and celebrate Pride while getting active. We’ll start at the Rainbow Crosswalk in Rotary Friendship Park with a quick introduction before heading out.
****After the run, we will regroup at the Rainbow Crosswalk for a wrap-up with some draw prizes including two pairs of Norda running shoes!****
This event will happen, rain or shine.
There may be dogs at this event. We invite you to bring your dog if your dog is comfortable with running and being around humans/other dogs.
Who is this event for? 2SLGBTQIA+ people and allies. All ages are welcome, as long as you’re comfortable with running/walking. We welcome all abilities and skill levels. Choose which route/group is best for you when you show up!
Routes:
Option 1: 4 KM walk/run (elevation: 3 m). This option is beginner-friendly, with a light walk/run pace and little elevation.
Option 2: 7 KM run (elevation: 147 m). This option is for intermediate runners and will be a mid-paced run.

Safety:
All of our run leaders have first aid and some also have the full 80 hour wilderness first aid. There will be a first aid kit and AED located at the area where the run starts/finishes.
Both of these groups are “no drop runs” which means no runner will be left behind. There will be a “sweep” at the back of every group to make sure nobody is left behind.
